    Fathers day

by Dr Walton, over 2 years ago

It was Father’s Day and the whole family took the opportunity to explore some of the waterways that surround us. With kids on tow, our youngest was just learning to paddle, while our oldest was too cool to be seen with her parents and frequently paddled ahead A bit of a kayak traffic jam as some people were just returning, and others leaving the launch point but always a memorable day

    Friendly Folks

by Daddio Leon, over 2 years ago
I was 12 when my Dad moved us to Pitt Meadows in 1970. My Dad‘s job moved us around BC from Prince George to Chilliwack to Sardis then Pitt Meadows. Dad moved us home to Katzie. I must admit it was culture shock for me but I worked to adapt. As a result I became the first Katzie to graduate from PMSS 1976. Today I still live here and raised 5 wonderful children. They too all graduated PMSS. The main thing that struck me was how nice everybody is in Pitt Meadows. We got to know most everyone in the... Continue reading

    Quaint and lovely town.

by Ann, almost 3 years ago
Today I walked through Pitt Meadows. As a resident of the northern part, in the farm lands, I don’t make it to the southern part that often. Walking along the Fraser River and then through Osprey Village, I was overwhelmed by the quaint picturesque scene in front of me. People enjoying themselves on the patio, hardly any traffic, beautiful gardens and a friendly atmosphere, I was reminded of my adventures in the Mediterranean (the warm weather influenced that even more). I felt drawn to the beauty in front of me.

The northern part is of course lovely too, with kilometres... Continue reading

    The Pride of Pitt Meadows

by Antoinetta (Netty) DeWit, almost 3 years ago

As I cycle around the streets of Pitt Meadows, I am always impressed with the pride homeowners put into their well groomed, weed-free and moss-free lawns, beautifully arranged flora, trimmed shrubs and hedges, swept driveways and walkways, and clean windows. I can feel a lot of love in every neighbourhood and that is both impressive and comforting.

    Kind and friendly city

by ChristinaJ, almost 3 years ago
We moved here a year ago. The first thing I noticed was how friendly and kind everyone we encountered was. A lady at the flower store gave my daughter a free flower which she loved, and people say hi as you walk by on the trails. I really just get a sense that people who live in our city are proud of their city and it surroundings. It feels good to live in an area where the residents care about their city.
